Holography MarketPlace 4th Edition

There are a number of things we can learn from this hologram.

First of all, we are essentially making a hologram of a drawing and we are making it right at the surface of the hologram. Therefore there is no danger of having the image blur out because the image is too deep or has too much projection.

We are able to designate the color of  different parts of our artwork. The color will not always be exactly what we want it to be (i.e. you can not pick out magenta and get exactly magenta) but you can get close.

You might ask "Why not just print the cartoon?". There are several reasons to make your cartoons a hologram. First, as you move the hologram around in light you will get different colors appearing and disappearing in your characters. This actually makes for a very attractive piece because you have high reflectivity and  changing colors. Since the subject is a cartoon, the changing colors not only do not annoy the viewer but actually add to the enjoyment of the piece. A flat, printed image of Dumbo is not going to get the attention  that a hologram of the same subject is going to get. Ask any child and they will tell you.

You can get a copy of the ad by simply ordering the publication it is in (hmp4) and you will also get a number of other ads using holograms that are in the book  The cost is inexpensive ($20) and can be ordered here.
